OMG we have arrived at midlife crisis stage one
July 4, 2008
Scottie and I went out to pick up a few groceries last night and on our way home we were stopped at a red light. So while sitting there waiting for the light to change, a cherry red Corvette Convertible pulls up in the lane next to us. OMG you should have seen Scottie’s eyes glazing over *lol* I could have stripped nekkid right then and there and he would not have noticed - that is how enthralled he was with this Corvette. So the light changes and he just sits there and watches it drive off. I was tempted to wipe his mouth with a kleenex…honest *lol* Then he says…”Oh, I would love to own one of those” and I was thinking to myself…yeah, I bet! I think he has officially arrived at midlife crisis stage one. Can you imagine the candy a car like that needs? Although there are great places like Corvette Guys http://www.corvetteguys.com/corvette-accessories.html and they offer these goodies at decent prices I don’t think he would be buying anything after putting cash down for a Corvette *lol* I mean come on…those cars are not cheap. And knowing Scottie he would want to deck it all out. I think I will have to squash the dream of his before it gets to stage 2! Unless of course we magically win the lottery which we can’t even afford to buy tickets for *lol* That man of mine likes to dream big, I swear!
New Candle Supplies ordered!
June 27, 2008
*wheeeeeeeeeeeee* I placed my order early Wednesday morning and they will be here on Monday. Gotta love a fast supplier! I didn’t expect to have them so soon because it usually takes a while before they even charge my card. Not this time though and I am one happy camper. It was shipped same day I ordered it! I did notice that soy wax went way up! OMG I paid almost $8.00 more for 10 lbs! It’s insane. I will have to readjust my prices for the upcoming fall line. Hate to do it but if I want to stay in business I have to. I have wonderful customers however so I know they will understand.
Today I will be at MIL’s all day helping her with her house. She has a cleaning lady…well it’s her grand daughter but she ain’t doing what she is supposed to be doing such as windows, high dusting, vacuuming every inch of the rooms and so on…sad isn’t it? Then has the nerve to demand more cash for a job crappely done *sigh* she gets paid for 5 hrs and stays maybe 2.5 hrs then hauls ass outta there. Of course MIL ain’t saying nothing to her so I get to hear it everytime I am up there. MIL wants me to talk to her but errrr…I am not going to go there…she is the one that hired her knowing this would happen.
Anyway…gotta get ready…

Weightloss
June 26, 2008
I was asked by a friend today what I think the best way is to lose weight. To be 100% honest - less food and more exercise. She asked about weightloss pills and I said to her that some people like to take pills such as Phentermine and if it works for them then more power to them. I tried a few and haven’t really noticed a difference but everybody’s system works on a different level so I can’t knock them all. I will most certainly be honest about how I feel. She liked my answer. LOL She is on a mission to drop about 100 lbs and was looking for advice. I told her that she will have try and see what works for her.
Scottie is funny !
June 26, 2008
Men are hilarious. When they see wheels and rims they go into drool land! Why I don’t know but it’s their thing so we’ll let it slide. His truck is about to die a slow death so he’s been looking into another and he thinks he wants another Ford 150 with the crew cab - and of course F150 wheels. He asked me to look around for custom wheels and while we have a few shops in Hartford he’d rather I look online so that is what I did and came up with a spot that has some fabulous wheels. It’s this spot here http://www.wheelhq.com/f150-truck-wheels-rims.html ~ if you go and check it out be sure to browse all they have to offer. I know Scottie will have a hard time picking his wheels! I am not one for big flashy rims but men seem to like them. He says that they put a whole new look on a vehicle. I personally think that if a vehicle runs and takes me where I need to go…it’s perfect! LOL …but I have my dreams, too so I will let him have his. I guess there are benefits to poppin’ wheels and rims - but for me a car is a car not a showcase. Scottie however likes to show off his goodies. More power to him I say!
Oh, one can dream…right?

How lovely would it be if I could afford to just go out and buy a brand spanking new Ford Mustang ? I mean have you see the latest model ? OMG talk about a dream ride. If i could I would in a heartbeat. I would pamper that baby too and make sure I keep up on mustang parts and accessories. I mean a ride like that needs to be kept up. Any ride for that matter but performance cars do need a bit more attention. I know there is a site where you can easily find all of those parts needed. It’s http://www.americanmuscle.com - and they are loaded! Now serious if you own a Mustang and need parts you have to check out that site. Maybe if we ever get out of this state… will be able to save up a nice chunk of change and make a huge downpayment on a Mustang *hee hee* like I said…one can dream, right? But then again …dreams sometimes do come true. I can just see myself on the FL coast cruising with the top down, baby!
Mil’s health issues
June 26, 2008
I spend all day at MIL’s working yesterday and we got to talking about health care. She is paying out the wahoo for her insurance and wants to look into medicare advantage so she can maybe cut her costs in half. Now that she is semi retired she has to watch her spending and it’s not easy for her. She is used to buying whatever she wants and is quite the shopaholic so it’s been a rough ride. I think getting her priories straight was the hardest to deal with since she never really watched her pennies and now has to. Living in this state is not easy as it is and with prices going up on everything, a nest egg does not last long these days. She also has more health issues now. She just had a stress test last week and they almost kept her overnight because they couldn’t regulate her heartbeat. It freaked her out to the point that now she thinks she only has a year or two left on this planet. Hearing her talk like that is freaking us out because she has always been this vibrant life loving person who know seems to just want to give up. It saddens me to see her like this.
My Desk
June 26, 2008
…is about to drive me crazy. It’s a huge desk and with it of course I collect more clutter. I am on the look out for new office furniture with a small corner desk, a stand for my printer and matching bookshelfs. I only need a small work area and the bookshelfs could hold all of my work related paperwork. I don’t need fancy, I just need something that is easier to manage and keep clutter free. I really would love a secretaries desk, I think they are fabulous and would work just fine. I could just close the lappy and hide the mess when I have company *lol*
